Chalkidiki or Halkidiki, is divided in three peninsulas that are often referred to as “legs” in Greek – Pallene (now Kassandra), Sithonia, and Agion Oros (the ancient Acte). Chalkidiki enchants its visitors with its lush woodland area which expands up to the seashore, the golden sun, the  turquoise waters, the traditional style and its rich gastronomic and cultural tradition.

For those who want to feel the vastness of the Aegean and the adrenaline pounding their heart while performing water sport activities, such as windsurf, kite surf, diving and water skiing, Kassandra and Sithonia is the right place for them.

If you prefer sandy, organized beaches, then Kassandra is what you’re looking for! Some of the most famous beach bars, Flogita, Athitos, Kallithea, Chanioti, Kryopigi, Polychrono, Pefkohori Paliouri, Possidi, Siviri, Sani and Potidea are located there. If you need to relax after dancing, take the car and explore the virgin beaches.

You shouldn’t miss the nightlife in Kallithea. There you will find some of the largest and finest clubs of Greece, in addition you will find quiet bars, ideal to start your evening with a drink while viewing the tranquility of the sea.

Sithonia, is the second leg of Chalkidiki. Apart from the ancient city of Olynthos with the unique mosaics, you can also discover beaches that will take your breath away. The dense vegetation of Sithonia and especially the pine trees that reach to the seashore, create a palette that will capture your senses.

Most of the beaches are well organized, but if you prefer to be far from residential development, you can also many hidden that have been left unscathed.

Don’t forget to visit the eastern beaches of Chalkidiki, in Ouranoupoli area, at the beginning of the third leg and the unique beaches in Nea Roda Ierissos.

A small and very picturesque village in Chalkidiki, is Chanioti, situated in the first leg of the peninsula.
